Announcement: Creative Expression – Art, Inclusion and Well-being

Art can heal, connect and inspire. It helps us express emotions, embrace diversity and look after our mental well-being. That is why Youth+ launched Creative Expression – Art, Inclusion and Well-being, a four-month series of workshops on artistic expression, inclusion and mental health, from November 2024 to February 2025.

The series was open to everyone, whether artist, writer, dancer or simply curious. No artistic experience was needed.

The four workshops

Every second Saturday of the month:

  • 9 November 2024 – Express Yourself: The Power of Art & Emotion. Art as a way to express emotions and care for yourself, through painting, drawing and poetry.
  • 14 December 2024 – The Art of Storytelling and Inclusion. Personal stories as bridges between cultures and experiences: writing exercises, digital storytelling, spoken word and an open mic.
  • 11 January 2025 – Movement and Creativity for Mental Wellness. The link between movement, self-expression and well-being, through dance, rhythm and mindfulness.
  • 8 February 2025 – Collaborative Art for Community Connection. Creating together: a group artwork, reflection on the series and a closing showcase.

Why join?

  • Hands-on activities, discussions and creative exploration.
  • A welcoming group where you can express yourself freely.
  • Art as a tool for self-care and emotional resilience.
