Community of Practice Workshop: Learning Together, Growing Stronger
Youth+ organized a Community of Practice Workshop for youth workers, volunteers, and community leaders. The main goal of the workshop was to create a space where people could learn together, share experiences, and find new ways to improve youth work in their communities.
The event was part of Youth+’s mission to build connections between people who work with young people, especially in the areas of sustainability, inclusion, and mental well-being. It showed how professionals can grow and improve when they cooperate and learn from each other.
At the beginning of the workshop, participants introduced themselves and talked about their work and what inspires them. People came from different countries and organizations. Some worked in education, some in mental health or environment, and others in social inclusion projects. This diversity made discussions richer and more interesting.
Sharing Ideas and Solving Problems
The workshop included many group activities and discussions. Participants worked in small teams to talk about real problems they face in their jobs, such as:
-
How to motivate young people to take part in activities.
-
How to make projects more inclusive for everyone.
-
How to add sustainability and well-being into daily work.
Each group used creative methods to understand these challenges and suggest possible solutions. They also shared examples of successful projects from their organizations. For example, one group talked about eco-friendly campaigns in schools, while another shared ideas for improving mental health among young people.
Creating Future Cooperation
In the final session, participants worked together to create action plans for future cooperation. They discussed how to stay in contact, share resources, and continue learning from one another. The Youth+ team presented an online group where participants can keep exchanging ideas and updates after the workshop.
Many participants said that they wanted to continue this collaboration and maybe even create new Erasmus+ projects together. The workshop helped them see that long-term learning and partnership are key to improving youth work quality.
Results and Impact
The Community of Practice Workshop created a real impact. It:
-
Strengthened the professional skills of youth workers.
-
Encouraged teamwork and international cooperation.
-
Supported the creation of new partnerships for Erasmus+ projects.
-
Promoted peer learning and knowledge sharing across Europe.
Through this workshop, Youth+ helped participants see that continuous learning and collaboration can make youth work more effective and meaningful.
